Biju C.G.
Biju C.G. (full name Biju Chandrika Gangadharan)(born 28 November 1979) is an Indian soap sculptor, photographer, and 3D visualizer from Kerala. He is best known for creating intricate miniature sculptures from bath soap, a unique art form that has earned him recognition in India and abroad.[1][2] He holds records in the India Book of Records and Asia Book of Records for his soap carving achievements.[3]
Early life and education
Biju C.G. was born in Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala, India. He developed an early interest in the arts after being inspired by sculptures near his hometown, particularly works of Kerala sculptor Kanayi Kunhiraman.[4] He completed a Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com.) and later earned a Master of Computer Applications (MCA).[2] Alongside his academic studies, he cultivated skills in design, photography, and visual arts.
Career
Soap sculpture
Biju is best known for his detailed soap sculptures, often carved from common brands like Emperor leather, Lux, Cinthol, Camay, Pears etc..[5] His works cover themes from mythology, popular culture, and portraits of notable figures. Notable sculptures include:
- Soap Chain Record(23 cm chain with 12 interlocked rings carved from a single soap bar, India Book of Records entry.)[3]
- Kathakali Figurine

In 2017, he created the longest chain from a single bar of soap, a 23-centimetre flexible chain with twelve interlocked rings.[3]
His sculptures have been exhibited in Kerala and abroad, including at the Museum Auditorium in Thiruvananthapuram and in Qatar.[6]
